#100 The Kite Runner

This is a current fiction/autobiographic book which details a priveledged young man's journey in the present day Iraq. He chronicles his life as a boy growing up in pre-Taliban Iraq to his harrowing journey to America and his life there as a teenager to young man. The book culminates in his return to war torn Iraq as a grown married man to rescue a child he feels responsible for.
This book really opens up the Iraq situation and helps me see from a Middle Eastern viewpoint. I highly recomend this book especially if you feel uninformed about what's going on there.
